MSME Growth Conclave in Vijayawada on May 25

In an attempt to transform the state’s industrial ecosystem through sustainable and resource-efficient technologies, the Andhra Pradesh government is all set to launch Energy and Water Efficiency programs for MSMEs in partnership with Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL).

The initiative was launched on May 25 by Dr. in Vijayawada. It will be announced during the ‘MSME Growth Conclave’ scheduled to be held at BR Ambedkar Kala Vedika.

The program is in line with the Centre’s RAMP initiative and Andhra Pradesh’s MSME development policy and focuses on energy audits, water efficiency, technology upgrade and sustainable production in 15 MSME clusters covering over 1,000 enterprises, Industries Minister N. Yuvaraj said on Wednesday.

Detailed Project Reports will make recommendations on energy-saving machines, water recycling systems and process optimization measures.

The state government has also launched 175 MSME Parks with proposed investments exceeding Rs 1,000 crore and employment potential of around 21,795 people. There are currently more than 21 lakh MSMEs in Andhra Pradesh, which contribute significantly to industrial growth and employment generation, officials said.

A review meeting was held by Mr. Yuvaraj with MSME Development Corporation CEO M. Viswa Manoharan and EESL officials ahead of the conclave.
