MSMEs key driver behind country’s economic development, says NTR Collector

NTR District Collector G. Lakshmisha said Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have emerged as the key drivers behind economic development in the country as they provide employment in both rural and urban areas.
Addressing a press conference held at the Collectorate on Thursday, the Collector said that MSMEs play a vital role in the growth of a country’s Gross Domestic Product by absorbing local talent, promoting self-employment and industrial development.
The Collector said that with the aim of bringing together experienced industrialists and aspiring entrepreneurs on a single platform and encouraging them, he will organize MSME Utsav-2026 at Ratan Tata Innovation Center (RTIH) in Enikepadu on June 27 (Saturday) on the occasion of International MSME Day.
He added that the event will also offer young people the opportunity to turn their ideas into reality and that they will exhibit their products at the stands at the fair. He called on young people to take advantage of opportunities.
