Multiple cars have been torched on a suburban street in Sydney’s south
A manhunt is underway to find the alleged arsonist who set fire to three cars overnight on a suburban street in Sydney’s south.
Emergency services were called to Evans Street in San Souci at around 10.45pm on Friday after reports of three vehicles on fire.
St George Area Command and Fire and Rescue NSW rushed to the scene and found the vehicles fully engulfed in flames and extinguished the fire.
The footage shows a car parked behind a locked gate outside a townhouse that was completely destroyed by fire, which also damaged the building’s front garden and facade.
7News reported that one family was inside but managed to escape unharmed.
While another vehicle parked on the street became completely unusable due to flames, a third vehicle was also severely damaged.
Residents captured the shocking scenes on video, which showed three cars completely engulfed in flames before firefighters arrived.
A police spokesman said no injuries were reported.
Police asked anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
