Kim Kardashian’s calculated move towards Meghan Markle doesn’t add up | Royal | News

Kim Kardashian knows better than anyone that nothing in celebrity culture is accidental — especially when royalty is involved. When images linking Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to Kardashian’s inner circle appeared briefly and then disappeared, alarm bells immediately went off.
We’re told it’s about timing and respect, but that explanation sounds too neat for a family built on surgical levels of publicity control. From where I stood, this was damage control, not discretion.
The more we look at how quickly the narrative changes, the less believable it becomes.

The footage initially sparked backlash due to its timing, as members of the Royal Family celebrated the Remembrance ceremony in the UK.
Eyebrow-raising photos showed Harry, 41, and Meghan, 44, arriving at Jeff Bezos’ home and later enjoying the celebration. These photos, which briefly appeared on both Kris Jenner’s and Kim Kardashian’s Instagram accounts, sparked widespread speculation about the reason behind this move after they were quietly deleted.
Now, in an attempt to catch up, Kim, 45, has spoken publicly about what really happened alongside her sister Khloe Kardashian on the latest episode of the Khloe in Wonderland podcast.
He said: “Mum and Meghan have been friends for a few years and have a really sweet relationship.”
She added: “We were told it was great to post and after it was posted I think they realized it was Memorial Day and didn’t want to be seen at a party even though it had already been posted.”

“And then it was removed. And I guess they realized it was so stupid!”
I’m sorry but I’m not buying it. And judging by Khloé Kardashian’s visibly awkward reaction during the exchange, I’m not alone.
This was not an innocent slip; it looked like a narrative hastily repackaged after the optics went down badly. Let’s be clear: The Kardashian-Jenner family doesn’t post casually. Footage is reviewed, timed, and monetized.
The sharing and then ‘accidental’ removal of photos featuring one of the world’s most scrutinized couples increases credibility.

To me, this sounds like a textbook case of damage limitation; a quick attempt to wrap up the narrative when reactions emerge. Context is also important. Everyone in Hollywood knows how long Kim has sought proximity to royal power.
While visiting London to promote ‘Kardashian Kollection’ in 2012, he openly praised Princess Catherine, spoke admiringly of her style and brought up the idea of lunch.
Reports at the time suggested that help was politely declined; One source claimed that the invitation was ‘laughed’ by people within the palace.

This pattern was repeated in 2018, when tabloid speculation swirled around Kim who allegedly “did everything” to get an invitation to Prince Harry and Meghan’s wedding.
Bookmakers even set the odds for him to attend, but no invitation materialised. There have been similar reports at subsequent royal events, including claims he was denied access to the Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022.
That’s why this last part seems more like choreography than coincidence. Royal closeness has always been relevant, and appearing alongside the Sussexes served a purpose, however brief.
Deleting the photos did not bring back that moment; strengthened it.
You can remove an image, but you can’t delete the purpose behind posting it in the first place. And in a world where optics are everything, this felt more like a revision than a homage.
