Multiple people wounded in mass shooting at Seattle Center, police say

Multiple people were injured in a mass shooting at Seattle Center on Sunday, according to police.

Police and emergency crews began arriving at the center shortly after 6 p.m. The venue was hosting the Bite of Seattle food festival over the weekend.

“Please avoid the area,” Seattle Police wrote to X.

STRAIGHT PLANE WAS VERY INJURED AFTER MAKING AN EMERGENCY LANDING AND CAUGHT FIRE OFF THE WASHINGTON BEACH.

Police have not confirmed whether any suspects have been detained.

People began screaming and running for cover at the Seattle Center Armory, said Kayla Carris, 22, as she sat outside the Armory at Bite of Seattle.

“Everyone was throwing things and running,” Carris told The Seattle Times. “Like everyone else.”

Todd Behrends, 59, said he heard several gunshots.

Behrends told the outlet that people began running and jumping over each other to escape. A woman fell and someone stepped on her leg.

Behrends said he saw a woman on the ground and a man on a stretcher as he ran toward the exit.
