The injuries are believed to have been caused by contact with a hard surface and are inconsistent with a fall, Birmingham Live reported.
It was also believed that Harleen was probably shaken.
His mother Zara Arsalan was accused of murder. He pleaded not guilty to killing the baby.
On Friday, February 20, a jury found the 31-year-old guilty of murdering his daughter at Coventry Crown Court.
Detective Chief Inspector Phil Poole, of West Midlands Police’s Homicide Unit, said: “This is an incredibly tragic incident.”
“Harleen was only two months old when she died at the hands of the person who should have done everything to keep her safe,” Detective Poole added.
“Arsalan never took responsibility for his actions. Instead, he repeatedly lied about what happened to Harleen, despite being shown evidence refuting his claims.”
He will be sentenced on Thursday, March 12.
