Murder investigation launched after boy dies in hospital following London stabbing

Police have launched a murder investigation following the death of a child who was stabbed in north-west London.
Police officers were called to a stabbing on Dudden Hill Road in Dollis Hill at around 10.30pm on Saturday.
15-year-old Jamal Ringrose was treated at the scene for stab wounds before being taken to the hospital, where he died on Thursday.
Detectives have now launched a murder investigation and say Jamal’s family have been informed and are being supported by specialist police officers.
A 15-year-old boy, who cannot be named due to his age, was charged with public fighting and possession of an offensive weapon after being arrested on Tuesday.
Police said the man appeared at Willesden Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.

A 16-year-old and an 18-year-old male were arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning grievous bodily harm. The boy was also arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and affray and remains in police custody, while the man was later released on bail.
Detective Inspector Simon Ager, who is leading the investigation, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of the child who sadly lost his life.
“Officers have already charged a child in relation to this horrific incident. However, our work continues and my team are carrying out various investigations.
“We believe there were a number of people in the area at the time and would urge anyone with information or footage to come forward. We are specifically looking for dash cam or cell phone footage from the street at the time.”
