Murder suspect in hospital after jumping from window following double stabbing in West London

A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a 24-year-old woman in west London.
Police officers found the woman stabbed after being called to a property in Uxbridge Road, Hayes, on Sunday morning.
A man in his 20s was found stabbed outside the property while police awaited information on his condition.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman said officers quickly located a 44-year-old man matching the description of the suspect nearby.
He was arrested on suspicion of murder and possession of a sharp object in a public place.
The detained man was taken to hospital with injuries believed to have been caused by jumping from the window.

Following the emergency call made at 07.55, the London Ambulance Service also attended the incident.
Despite the intervention of emergency teams, it was determined that the woman died at the scene.
Detective Chief Inspector Allam Bhangoo said: “This is a shocking incident that tragically left one woman dead and another man injured and hospitalised.
“Our thoughts are with both the victims and their loved ones, who are supported by specialist officers.
“Our investigations are still in their early stages but we do not believe there is a wider threat to the public.
“But we would like to hear from anyone who may have seen anything or has any information that could assist our investigation.
“We know this incident will cause serious concern in the community and residents can expect to see an increased police presence in the area over the coming days.”
