‘Murdered’ man who vanished 5 years ago turns up at police station | UK | News

A shopkeeper who disappeared five years ago surprisingly appeared at a police station a few days after five people were arrested on suspicion of murder. According to authorities, Ismail Ali, who disappeared in 2020, suddenly appeared “healthy and healthy” at a police station.

Ismail mysteriously disappeared without a trace on May 29, 2020. He was last seen leaving his workplace in Cumberland Road, Bradford, West Yorkshire. He was 46 years old at the time. His resurgence came just days after five three women, aged 47, 54 and 55, and two men, aged 27 and 51, were arrested for alleged murder.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said the five men were released on bail pending further investigation.

Following searches of the homes of those arrested, three properties were searched on Monday. and a large amount of money was seized.

Detectives working on his missing case today confirmed that he arrived at the police station yesterday.

Ismail’s family has been informed and he is currently “protected” by the police while the necessary checks are carried out.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said: “Officers are trying to understand the full circumstances surrounding his disappearance.

“Mr. Ali’s family has been informed that he is safe and healthy and is under protection while the necessary checks are carried out.

“Following the arrests on Monday, 3 houses were searched and a large amount of money was seized. Some of those arrested were released on bail on charges of money laundering.

“Investigations into money laundering crimes will continue for some time. Officers thank the citizens who shared Mr. Ali’s objection.”
