Man Gets Life Term For Killing Friend

Visakhapatnam: A court in Vizianagaram district on Friday found 33-year-old Vempadapu Suribabu guilty of murdering his friend and sentenced him to life imprisonment.

Police said Suribu killed Ganivada Atchum Naidu near Vijinigiri within Jami police station limits on November 11, 2024, following a dispute over a stolen mobile phone.

18 kilos of dried marijuana were seized

Visakhapatnam: Vizianagaram district police seized 18 kg of dry marijuana and arrested four persons in two separate cases of allegedly carrying contraband by train.

In the first incident, police arrested Budu Barika and Harish Barika, both natives of Odisha, and seized 10 kg of marijuana.

In the second case, police arrested Aakash Kumar and Sunil Kumar and seized 8 kg of marijuana from them.
