Myanmar Hospital Airstrike Kills 33, Including Civilians And Health Workers | World News

33 civilians lost their lives in the deadly air attack carried out by the Myanmar military junta on a public hospital in Mrauk-U Town of Rakhine State.

The attack involved two 500-pound bombs dropped from a warplane on a facility providing medical care to local residents, according to CRPH Myanmar. Many civilians and healthcare workers were also injured in the attack.

The incident was strongly condemned, with statements condemning the junta for what was described as an inhumane and cruel act. Critics say the military, which has been accused of longstanding crimes since the 2021 coup, is trying to gain legitimacy through a planned election despite ongoing violence.
