Mystery deepens as Perth man Jesse Bruzzese remains missing in Mexico

Australian authorities say they have continued to provide assistance for six weeks to the family of a West Australian man missing in Mexico.
Jesse Bruzzese’s last known location was the Riviera Maya in Cancun, but he has not been able to contact his loved ones since June 3.
The 35-year-old man’s disappearance remains unsolved, despite his inclusion on Interpol’s list and a public awareness campaign launched by his family late last month.
His family, based in Mandurah, declined to speak further about their missing relative.
He lived in Perth but grew up in Mandurah and had been traveling alone for about nine months, arriving in Mexico in early May.
After his disappearance, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade provided assistance to his family.
“The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade is providing consular assistance to the family of an Australian reported missing in Mexico,” a spokesman said.
“Due to our confidentiality obligations we are unable to comment further.”
A multi-agency cross-border investigation into his whereabouts is ongoing, including an Interpol Yellow Notice used in global missing persons cases.
The notice includes a list of countries Mr. Bruzzese is likely to visit: Cambodia, Mexico, the United States, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, China and Indonesia.

It appears that he is an experienced traveler and not one to travel for long periods of time without contacting family or friends.
Anyone who has seen Mr Bruzzese, spoken to him, stayed in the same accommodation or has information about his whereabouts since June 3 should contact police.
His worrying disappearance comes just over two years after Perth brothers Jake and Callum Robinson were murdered in Mexico.
Authorities later concluded that the brothers, along with their American friend Carter Rhoad, were killed during a robbery after they were ambushed and shot by bandits trying to steal the pickup truck they were driving.
Their bodies were later found callously dumped down a 15-foot well in Baja California.
