Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president Nitin Nabin on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, appealed to the people to bless the party candidate Neeraj Kumar Sinha for the upcoming by-poll in Bankipur Assembly Constituency. Mr. Nabin said this while interacting with the media in Patna soon after inaugurating the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) election office in Kidwaipuri district.
Mr. Nabin said that the people of Bankipur have always blessed him and now his younger brother will also work with the same confidence and blessings to further accelerate the development journey of Bankipur.
He added that it was a matter of great happiness that the BJP leadership gave an opportunity to a dedicated party worker (a mandal president) to contest the general election in Bankipur.
“I am confident that this candidate will succeed based on the long-standing familiar bond we share with the people of this constituency and the legacy of my late father, Navin Kishore Prasad Sinha, who nurtured this district through years of struggles and the blessings of my father, the trust of the people and the support of party workers,” Mr. Nabin said.
The seat fell vacant after Mr. Nabin’s election to the Rajya Sabha. On Friday, the BJP nominated Mr. Sinha after Abhishek Kumar alias Bunty withdrew his candidacy.
‘Dedicated employee’
“The party has once again given an opportunity to a dedicated worker, someone who comes from the family of a veteran activist from the Jana Sangh era. He is a young man whom the locals know as a dedicated worker, who always stands with the people and helps solve their problems,” Mr. Nabin said.
