NACC asked to investigate Ben Roberts-Smith media leak

BRS MEDIA LEAK IS BEING EXAMINED

How the media reported in advance that Ben Roberts-Smith was arrested at Sydney Airport last month has come under scrutiny; The Office of the Special Investigator asked the National Anti-Corruption Commission to investigate.

OSI is the federal government’s special investigator into allegations of war crimes against members of the Australian Defense Force in Afghanistan from 2005 to 2016.

Speaking to Senate estimates on Tuesday evening, OSI director general Chris Moraitis said he believed operational information had been disclosed without authorization.
