NAPA Demands Punjab Government to Retract Land Pooling Scheme

Chandigarh: North America Punjabi Association (NAPA) issued a warning to the “controversial” black pool plan to the Punjab government on Saturday.
Napa Executive Director Satnam Singh Chahal said that if the government failed to withdraw this “anti -farm” plan, it would be extremely difficult to control the rightful landowners whose livelihoods and ancestors are directly threatened.

The Minister called Punjab Prime Minister Bhagwant Mann not to blindly follow Arvind Kejriwal and his team, who constantly pushes the policies of Punjab’s interests.
“Punjab’s unique socio-economic fabric can not withstand such experimental programs designed by people who do not understand the basic realities of our state.” He said.
“It is time for the Punjab government to start making independent decisions for the greater interests of its people instead of being a laboratory for Delhi’s political agenda.”
Napa recalled to the Punjab government that state farmers have already made countless sacrifices for the country’s food safety and deserved respect and fair treatment policies that threaten their existence.
The Association warned that the attempt to implement the soil pooling program will lead to a large state -wide agitation that can come out of control if the real concerns of people are ignored.
