Natalie Portman, 44, announced on Friday that she is pregnant with her third child.
The baby will be the actress’s first with her partner, 45-year-old French music producer Tanguy Destable.
‘Tanguy and I are very excited,’ he said Harper’s Bazaar. ‘Much obliged. I know this is a great privilege and miracle.’
Portman is the child of a fertility doctor. ‘I grew up hearing how hard it was to get pregnant,’ she said.
‘There are so many people that I love who are having such a hard time about it that I want to be respectful about that too. It’s a beautiful, joyful thing, and at the same time it’s not an easy thing.’

The baby will be Portman’s first with her 45-year-old French partner Tanguy Destable.
The actress added, ‘And so I know how lucky you are. I am very aware of this and very grateful. “I feel deep appreciation and gratitude.”
She has two children from her previous marriage to choreographer Benjamin Millepied: 14-year-old son Aleph and nine-year-old daughter Amalia. The couple separated in 2023 and finalized their divorce in 2024.
Portman was first linked to Destable in March last year.
The movie star has previously praised the intimacy of living in Paris.
She was last seen at an event in January at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, posing with Jenna Ortega and Charli xcx.
“There’s a gratitude that you don’t realize when you’re young,” he told Harper’s Bazaar.
‘And there’s a sense of calm and self-knowledge: who I want to spend time with, what energy I want to have around me, which makes the experience so beautiful every day. And knowing this is probably the last time, I cherish every moment.’
He also said he felt fine. ‘I have more energy than I thought I would,’ he said.
The Hollywood star added that he swims and does gyronic exercise to ‘stay strong’.
And she takes time to be with her two children, Aleph and Amalia, ‘which is always the best,’ she said.

She has two children from her previous marriage to choreographer Benjamin Millepied.
Portman does not allow her children to be in the public eye.
He told Interview magazine: ‘I’m not a very private person in real life – I’ll tell you everything – but it was so obvious in public that if you tell people how private you are, your privacy is respected a lot more.’
The professional actor added, “I created a barrier saying, ‘I won’t take photos with my children.'”
‘My children are always a source of excitement because you see them grow into the individuals they are,’ she also told Ortega for the magazine. ‘I also spend a lot of time with my friends, their children and my own children; This is pretty fun.’
