Nate Bargatze facing cancellation from the left for attending UFC 250 White House event: ‘Team Fascism’

The UFC 250 event at the White House was an unabashed celebration of America’s 250th anniversary and patriotism towards the United States. This is exactly why many on the political left are outraged and outraged about this.

It was not surprising that important participants from different fields and professions came to such a large and historical event. Including comedian Nate Bargatze. Bargatze, who staunchly stays away from politics in his comedies and personal life, was photographed at the UFC White House event.

Harmless enough, right? This is a non-political event showcasing one of the most popular sports in the country. But in the world of the extraordinarily angry online left, this was proof that Bargatze was a fascist. Really.

“Comedian” and former television host W. Kamau Bell attacked Bargatze for his presence in the White House, saying in a new Substack post about the 10 rules he invented for “good white men” that going there made him part of “Team Fascism.”

“Don’t be in photos with fascists,” Bell wrote. “The easiest way to avoid taking photos with fascists is not to go to places where fascists congregate.”

“If you go somewhere where the fascists are clotted, then you better have a good reason…like a good reason like John Brown/Inglourious Basterds.” he continued, seemingly implying that anyone who goes to the White House must be there to assassinate Donald Trump or other prominent Republicans currently in government.

“Unless you have a good reason to hang out with fascists, congratulations! You’re now a member of Team Fascism,” he continued. “No one cares how much you want to see the fights in the White House.”

Bell goes to demand redemption from Bargatze as punishment for his crime.

“If you do not want to be a member of Team Fascism, after seeing you with the fascists, it is up to you to begin to actively and immediately pull yourself out of the pit of fascism and get back to the right side of history,” he wrote. “For the record, a statement from your agent or a social media post or anything other than immediate action in real life does not count.”

“Unless you want to do the work it takes to dig yourself out of the pit of fascism,” he added. “CONGRATULATIONS! YOU ARE NOW A MEMBER OF THE FASCISM TEAM!”

This post was shared more than 500 times and liked more than 2,800 times. He accuses Nate Bargatze of being a fascist for attending a UFC event at the White House. The Daily Beast shared this approvingly and also criticized Bargatze. Welcome to the modern left.

Needless to say, this is bullshit. The athletes who visited the Joe Biden White House to celebrate their championships didn’t suddenly become members of Team Auto Pen. They did not support the extreme policies of the Biden administration. They were only honored at the White House. Bargatze can attend a White House event without being seen as an endorsement of all of Trump’s policies.

Even if that were an endorsement, it doesn’t justify Bell’s ridiculous response. Frankly, the Trump administration is not fascist or engaged in fascism. It’s not worth explaining because Bell and his supporters aren’t interested. They have created a fantasy world and their only mission in life is to oppose their own fictional creations. As we become increasingly disconnected from reality, the exaggeration grows.

But more importantly? As a society, as a culture, we no longer do this. Celebrities traveling to a UFC event should not and will not be cancelled. Bell can try anything he wants, but the culture is past the nonsense of 2020. We have an election on this in 2024 and Bell is on the Losing Team. Whatever Bargatze thinks about politics, at least he’s not on that side.
