Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh with ministry officials after signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Indian Domestic Tour Operators Association on Wednesday.

Andhra Pradesh Tourism, Culture and Cinematography Minister Kandula Durgesh on Wednesday announced that the State government will organize a two-day National Tourism March-2025 in Visakhapatnam on February 13 and 14, 2026, in collaboration with Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI).

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed in the presence of senior officials from the Department of Tourism and representatives of ADTOI to facilitate rapid growth of domestic tourism.

The proposed event will serve as a platform to showcase the State’s coastal tourism, spiritual tours, heritage monuments, eco-adventure tourism and agency (tribal) area tourism at the national level, the Minister said.

Leading tour operators, hotel owners, destination promoters, tourism stakeholders and travel experts from all over the country will attend the market.

Mr. Durgesh said B2B networking sessions, destination presentations, business meetings, panel discussions and roadshows to tourist destinations will enable local tourism stakeholders to establish direct business linkages with national-level players and expressed hope that the initiative will help increase tourist traffic, improve local employment opportunities, develop long-term business relationships and ensure national recognition of the State.

ADTOI representatives said their mission is to strengthen domestic tourism, promote and bring to light lesser-known tourist destinations in the state, and ensure sustainable tourism growth and employment for local communities.

Expressing their pleasure to partner with the Andhra Pradesh government, they said they are committed to working with national associations to ensure responsible and inclusive tourism growth.

Special Secretary Tourism Ajay Jain, AP Tourism Development Corporation Managing Director and AP Tourism Authority CEO Amrapali Kata, APTA Srinivas Acting CEO, AP State Commission for Creativity and Culture Chairman Tejaswi Podapati, Communications Officer S. Padma Rani, ADTOI president Ved Khanna, vice president Ashish, Travel Mart CEO Vijay Mohan and others attended the programme.
