Instead of lining up for free throws, the NBA player walked to the sideline and stood in front of the fans. While the two were chatting, the man stood up and stretched his arms out to the sides. The authorities came between the two, and the cooler heads prevailed.

Sam Green told the Associated Press that the Warriors player taunted the NBA champion by chanting “Angel Reese” after he didn’t take a shot while grabbing seven rebounds. The Chicago Sky star was called out for his rebound numbers being inflated due to his own missed shots. However, Reese turned this little thing into profit by registering the “MeBounds” trademark in his second year in the league.

The fan said the Warriors player cursed at him and threatened to punch him if the “Angel Reese” chants continued.

“I wasn’t using any profanity and it was a little bit annoying when he came walking 12 meters from the field and got in my face like that,” Sam Green told the press.

Green said after the game that he was upset by the fans’ chants.

“He kept calling me woman,” she said, via ESPN. “It was a joke at first, but you can’t keep calling me a woman.”

It is unclear whether Green will be penalized for this interaction. The fan was merely warned and allowed to remain in his courtside seat. The Warriors player was fined $25,000 in 2022 for what the NBA described as “using obscene language toward a fan.”
