The 67 -year -old CP Radhakrishnan, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), defeated the Indian block candidate in the elections on Tuesday (September 9th).
Who is CP Radhakrishnan?
Chandrapuram Ponnuswamy Radhakrishnan was born on October 20, 1957 in Tiruppur of Tamil Nadu. He has a bachelor’s degree in the field of business and is a member of the BJP’s ideological parent Rashtria Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). Between 2004-2007, he was the president of BJP in Tamil Nadu. He also served as the governor of Jharkhand for about a year and a half. On July 31, 2024, he swore as the governor of Maharashtra. Now, after the sudden resignation of former Vice President Jagdeep Dhankar, he was elected as the vice president.
