In the case of Bonnet Makak, the animal has the limitation of eliminating animals from the affected areas, since the animal falls into the planned category of the 1972 Wild Life Protection Law. However, the forest department is taking steps to transfer animals from the conflict zones to appropriate ecosystems in the forests.
If the Craft Craft Crage (Amendment) Draft Dated 2025, which has recently been approved by the cabinet, increases the number of such animals in a particular region without waiting to obtain permission from the Union Government, there are provisions of birth control and translocation of animals to other places.
The bill also proposed to transfer the Bonnet Macaque from Table I to Table II, because the Union government has the power to declare any wild animal in Table II as a pest if the number is currently increasing the number.
