NEET-UG re-exam: Students say Physics paper tougher than earlier attempt
Students from Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Kerala and Jammu and Kashmir said overall the paper was more challenging than the previous attempt, although experiences varied depending on the strengths of the subject.
While some found the exam moderate and manageable, others said the exam tested their time management and preparation levels, especially in Physics.

Despite differing views on difficulty, students said examination arrangements at the centers were smooth and shared cautious optimism about their performance.
Speaking to ANI, a student from Chennai said: “Biology was good. Physics and Chemistry were tough. The first NEET exam was easy; this one was tougher.”
A candidate from West Bengal said: “The exam was good. Biology was easy, Physics and Chemistry were intermediate. It was better last time.” A candidate from Thiruvananthapuram said: “The exam was moderate to difficult. Physics was tough. Chemistry could be done but was time consuming and Biology could be done.”
A candidate from Jammu and Kashmir said, “The paper was very good. My preparation was good. Only Physics was a little tough. Overall it was a good experience.”
Another candidate from Ranchi said, “The moderation of the exam was easy. Biology was easier, Chemistry was intermediate and Physics was tougher than last time.”
Tarun, another candidate from Chennai, said, “I did well but let’s see. The exam was tougher than last time.”
Another student said, “It was a little more difficult than last time. It was my first try, I expected around 500 points. The arrangements inside were very good.”
“My exam went well… The exam was average. Biology exam was good. Physics was long but manageable…” said a candidate from Indore.
Candidate from Pune, Maharashtra said, “The exam was easy… Physics was tough. It was formula based… This time there was more checking and body search. Metal detector was used…”
After the first exam was canceled on May 3 due to allegations of paper leak, around more than 22 lakh students appeared for the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination held today at 14 locations across the country and abroad.
A re-examination was required following the alleged paper leak case, which was investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The agency made many arrests regarding the incident.
