Macaulay Culkin’s early days in Hollywood were not for the faint of heart, and he doesn’t think it’s possible today.

The actor, who was under 10 years old when filming classics like “Uncle Buck” and “Home Alone,” recently talked about a wild experience filming as a kid, and was adamant that some of the things he endured for the sake of the movie “won’t fly these days.”

During an appearance “In the movie… with Kevin McCarthy” On the podcast, Culkin was asked about the 1991 movie “My Girl,” in which his character, Thomas J. Sennett, dies from an allergic reaction after being exposed to multiple bee stings. He admitted that he wasn’t impressed with depicting death, but what struck him more was working with bees.

He continued, “Those were real fucking bees, man. They can’t fly these days, boy.”

Culkin explained that he was instructed to wave his hands in front of his face to get the bees to flock there, which would look “good for the camera.”
