Nellore car accident: CM announces ex gratia of ₹5 lakh each for kin of deceased

Prime Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu announced on Wednesday that seven people were killed in a traffic accident near the village of Peramana in the Sangam Mandy in the Sangam Mandy in the SPSR Nellore Region in the SPSR Nellore Region on Wednesday. However, BGBM and YSRCP leaders requested 25 lakh for each of the dead.

Meanwhile, the family members of Sesham Seramma and Sesham Balavengayya, who died in the accident, organized a protest with the corpses in Mutukur Center on Thursday. They asked the government to take action against those responsible for the traffic accident and to offer an old lakh to each family members.

CPI (M) City Secretary Kathi Srinivasulu, other leaders Kayambu Srinivasulu and TVV Prasad demanded the same thing. YSRCP leaders who accused TDP leaders of including Ravindra Reddy and Bujjayaah Naidu in illegal sand mining questioned the inactivity against them.

After paying tribute to those who died and condolences to the families of the victims in Gurralamadugu Sangam, Mr. Govardhan Redy said: “The government is unfortunate that seven people died in a traffic accident due to negligence.

“Although many lives have been lost due to the illegal transport of sand and pebbles, the regional officials do not show any interest. The ruling party leaders carry illegally sand and sell higher rates. When the water was released from Somasila Dam recently, the tractors carrying the sand illegally from Viruvur Reach were stuck in the water.

YSRCP leader also said: “SP should act closely against those who make illegal sand and pebbles in the region. Police must conduct a comprehensive, transparent and impartial investigation and punish those responsible. A case should be recorded not only to the driver but also to the owner carrying the sand.”
