New exec to lead Lindian towards Malawi rare earths mine expansion
Lindian Resources appointed Mining Development Specialist Zac Komur as a general manager to lead the Nadir Earths project in the giant Kananda of the company in Malawi, where early studies are in the budget and in front of the program.
The company aims to concentrate on production in the fourth quarter of 2026 to help increase global demand for critical minerals.

The first studies, including processing areas, mining pads, roads and solar holes in Kanhankunde, were completed in the budget and in front of the program. Lindian’s security inspections and community participation led by Lindian’s community liaison officer Rebecca Hami provided good local support for the project.
Lindian also advances two infrastructure tender and the latest design offers will be held in October. The company says that the second stage work, such as electrical lines and supply contracts, will ensure that the project is ready for construction after the final design and building contract has been given.

With more than 25 years of global resource experience, Komur has served as a non -executive director of Lindian since February. A manager who controls the first stage will take the role and two expansion works and downward partnerships will continue in two stages.
It includes complex projects such as 37 billion dollars ($ 56 billion) near Darwin, Ichthys processing facilities, mining, Fortescue, Inpex and Northvolt, which includes mining, battery metals and LNG projects.
Komur’s new lindian role involves managing the budget and quality for the first stage, advance the preparation of executing the second stage, and rare land carbonate processing partnerships.
