New ‘G RAM G Act’ Increases Job Guarantee to 125 Days, Plugs Leaks with AI & GPS: Ramchander Rao

Hyderabad: State BJP president N. Ramchander Rao said employment guarantee schemes implemented since the 1960s have structural flaws, leakage and corruption. To correct the flaws, the Narendra Modi government has enacted the VB G RAM G Act integrated with modern technology for transparency and accountability.
Rao was speaking about the new legislation at a workshop organized by the BJP Kisan Morcha here. He said changes to old welfare models were necessary to adapt to changing economic realities, making the G RAM G Act not only necessary but inevitable.
Rao questioned the Congress’ sudden infatuation with Mahatma Gandhi’s name as it protested the renaming of MGNREGA. He wanted to know why the Hyderabad airport was named after Rajiv Gandhi and not Mahatma Gandhi.
GRAM noted that the 60:40 sharing model under the G Act will increase the responsibility, fiscal discipline and accountability of states.
He listed Rao scams under MGNREGA during the UPA regime and said employment guarantee days under the G RAM G Act were increased from 100 to 125, 50 of which were through gram panchayats and gram sabhas to create village development plan and eliminate leakages through mandatory biometric verification, GPS satellite tracking, AI-based fraud detection and weekly public announcements.
The workshop was attended by BJP secretary Om Prakash Dhankar, state leaders Dr N. Gautam Rao, Chandrashekhar Tiwari, state Kisan Morcha president Baswapuram Laxminarsaiah, Dr Boora Narsaiah Goud, Goli Madhusudhan Reddy and Papayya Goud.
