New multi-millionaire is out there after $40m Powerball draw

A new multi-millionaire has been created in Australia after a lucky ticket holder scooped the entire $40 million Powerball jackpot.

Now the search continues to find the mystery winner who will claim the mega prize money for the fourth time.

After the grand prize went unclaimed for three weeks in a row, only one person came up trumps in Thursday evening’s draw.

This would mean someone waking up to find the eight-figure jackpot in their account balance.

The lucky winning numbers were 7, 11, 12, 18, 27, 30 and 34 in numerical order. Powerball was 16.

While there was only one winner in the top category, 20 people shared the second division prize of $38,148.45.

There were also 81 winners in the second category category who will claim $11,650.25 each.

It’s the first time someone has walked away with the jackpot since June 25, when a single unregistered Canberran claimed $40 million from Woden.
