New Principal CCIT for Telugu States Appointed

Hyderabad: Senior income tax official Battini Suresh was appointed as Chief Commissioner of Income Tax for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on Thursday.

He is currently serving as the Chief Commissioner of Hyderabad and will replace the incumbent Morampudi Anil Kumar as the Head of Income Tax Department of the two Telugu states.

Suresh is a native of Guntur and studied B Tech and MBA before joining the Indian Revenue Service in 1991. He has also previously served in key positions including Director of Investigation, Income Tax Department in Surat, Gujarat, and also focused on capacity building in the department.
