North Shore Rapist Graham James Kay admits to sexual attack on teen in Sydney chemist

At this point, an employee caught up with a security guard who chased Kay out of the store. He managed to catch up with her and brought her back into the store and took a photo of her ID.

On Thursday, Kay pleaded guilty to multiple counts of sexually touching another person without consent and failing to comply with an ESO.

Court documents show several of the four probation violation charges related to contact with sex workers; including exchanging hundreds of messages with one of them and visiting another in Epping to tell authorities he was there for a job interview.

He will remain in custody pending sentencing in the District Court next month.

Kay’s return to prison has been welcomed by women who survived a series of stabbing attacks in the 1990s.

He was arrested in 1997 during a police operation where he was caught searching for and following women in Macquarie Park, Glebe and Epping. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Kay has not entered rehab since being paroled in 2015 and has instead continued to attack women while trying to hide his identity from the public.

In 2017, he was placed in ESO, the strictest supervision regime a court can impose on a person outside prison walls.

In 2018, the serial rapist’s watch tag was removed. Within weeks he walked into a Woolworths in Sydney’s west and kissed a young girl on the cheek.

Three days later, his superiors discovered that a sex worker was present at his home; this was a violation of its terms. He was back on the streets within a few months and committed to a watered down ESO in 2020.

Kay’s name was suppressed by a judge to help her reintegrate into society.

But in 2022, Kay followed a woman shopping in the CBD and followed her home into the unit tower.

Kay was imprisoned and then released again in September 2023.
