Labor suffered a historic loss in the Senedd elections held in Wales today, coming in third place behind Plaid Cymru and Reform UK. In Scotland, the SNP retained its majority, coming in second place between Labor and Reform when the News broadcast began recording. In England, the painful consequences of the Labor Party, which lost more than a thousand seats in the council, continued. Reform gained more than 1,400 councilors and the Greens made gains.
