Newscast – The King Arrives In The US, But Can He Mend The Special Relationship?

Available for more than a year
Today the King arrived to meet President Trump on a US state visit. His arrival comes amid heightened security concerns following a shooting during a White House correspondents’ dinner on Saturday. The visit also comes at a time when the Prime Minister is experiencing difficulties at home. Sir Keir Starmer will face a vote by MPs on whether to launch an investigation into his claims about Lord Mandelson’s scrutiny. What’s in store for the King and could this trip help ‘repair’ relations between the US and UK and Starmer’s image at home? Adam is joined by political correspondent Joe Pike, chief North American correspondent Gary O’Donoghue and royal correspondent Sean Coughlan.
