MPs today voted that Keir Starmer should not face an investigation into whether he misled Parliament about Lord Mandelson’s appointment. MPs voted 335 to 223 against the motion led by the Conservative Party. During the debate, Conservative Party leader Kemi Badenoch said it was “very clear” that Starmer had said things to the House of Commons that were “not true”. No 10 accused the conservatives of “putting on a desperate political show”. Adam, Joe and Alex reacted to the vote. They also examined Starmer’s former chief of staff Morgan McSweeney’s statement about the Mandelson appointment.
