Today, sacked former Foreign Office chief Olly Robbins says No 10 has a “condescending” attitude towards scrutiny of Lord Mandelson. Robbins told MPs that when he took over there was already a “very, very strong expectation” from No 10 that Mandelson “should come into office and come to America as quickly as possible”.
