“We owe great gratitude to Kevin’s leadership over the last six seasons with the Cleveland Browns,” Manager and Principal Partners Dee and Jimmy Haslam said in a statement. they said. “He is a good football coach and an even better person. We appreciate his hard work and dedication to our organization, but our results over the past two seasons have been unsatisfactory and we believe a change in the head coaching position is necessary.”
The team also confirmed that Browns General Manager Andrew Berry will continue to lead football operations.
“Our entire focus is on building a team that will bring our fans the success they have long deserved, and we will continue to work tirelessly towards that goal and invest in whatever resources are necessary to build a winning football program. Andrew will immediately begin our comprehensive process to find an outstanding new head coach and leader for our football team. We have an exciting young core on which to build, and Andrew and his team are committed to adding talent to that core and building a roster that can achieve sustainable success.”
