“Guys, I’m not going back to play! Stop asking,” Manning said on X.
Manning retired after the 2019 season, ending his 16-year run with the team. Towards the end of his career, Manning struggled, going 9-26 in his starts over the final three seasons of his career.
Before Manning’s vote was rejected, Beckham was one of his favorite targets. Manning allowed more goals against Beckham (44) than any other player in his career.

Beckham was exciting in New York. Beckham played 59 games in his five seasons with the Giants, catching 390 passes for 5,476 yards and 44 touchdowns.
He was then surprisingly traded to the Cleveland Browns and never found the same form again; he only spent two and a half seasons with them before being released.
The Giants recently brought Beckham to practice. In 2023, he played for the Baltimore Ravens under coach John Harbaugh. The 33-year-old was productive as a depth receiver, catching 34 passes for 565 yards and three touchdowns.
Harbaugh described Beckham as one of his favorite people in the world in March.

“He and I talk. We text,” Harbaugh said. “We’ve maintained a really great relationship. He’s one of my favorite people in the world. It’s impossible not to talk about these things with guys. And we definitely did.”
“We’ll have to see where it all goes, what’s best for him, what’s best for the Giants.”
While the Giants will have to see how Beckham moves on, they are confident Manning will stay in retirement.
