Fin Baxter: England prop ruled out of Six Nations

England’s support woes continue to mount ahead of the Six Nations, with Harlequins’ Fin Baxter ruled out of the tournament.

The 23-year-old featured in England’s last 18 games but surgery on a foot injury destroyed his hopes of continuing that run.

Baxter was named among five England players undergoing rehabilitation alongside the 36-man Six Nations squad on Friday.

No replacement for Baxter will be called upon, with Ellis Genge backed by Bevan Rodd and Emmanuel Iyogun.

However, Rodd has only made two appearances for England since the 2023 Rugby World Cup, while Iyogun is yet to make his debut.

England will face Wales at home on February 7 in the opening match of the tournament.
