Sub-Inspector Booked for Letting 6-Year-Old Granddaughter Drive Car in Narsingi

A sub-inspector was booked for allowing his six-and-a-half-year-old grandson to drive his car on a public road in Narsingi. The child’s name is being kept secret to protect his identity. According to police, the incident took place on Gandhamguda-Bairagiguda Road.
Following the incident, Narsingi police registered a case against the sub-inspector under BNS for rash and negligent conduct endangering life and safety, along with provisions of the Motor Vehicles (MV) Act against allowing an unauthorized person to drive and violations related to dangerous driving.
The owner of the vehicle had six traffic tickets pending with a total fine of ₹4,010. The violations included three cases of excessive speeding, one stop line violation, one lane crossing violation and one stopping in a restricted area. The pending violations were recorded between May 2020 and October 2024 in Hyderabad and Mahbubnagar districts.
Narsingi police have launched an investigation to determine under what circumstances the boy was allowed to drive the vehicle. Police said action will be taken based on the results of the investigation.
Worker found dead

An unidentified man aged between 50 and 55 was found murdered near a theatre, Vanasthalipuram police said on Sunday morning. The body was found around 7 a.m., police said. The bleeding wound on the back of his head indicated that he had been attacked before he died.
The deceased was approximately 1.5 meters tall, had wheatish skin and a white beard. No identification documents were found. Forensic Medicine and Tips teams examined the scene and collected evidence. The body was taken to the government hospital for autopsy. Police detected a case of murder and launched an investigation to identify the victim and track down the suspects. Footage from surrounding security cameras is being examined and local people are being questioned about this issue.
Two arrested for auto theft in Uppal
Uppal police arrested two criminals involved in a series of autorickshaw thefts and recovered six stolen vehicles worth around ₹ 4 lakh.
The accused were identified as 20-year-old K. Akshay from Secunderabad and 21-year-old Muhammad Faizan Qureshi from Nizamabad district. Police said Akshay spotted unattended vehicles parked on the roadside and informed Faizan, who then stole these vehicles. The duo changed their appearance before throwing away the vehicles.
Based on reliable information, the police caught the accused while he was moving in stolen vehicles near Uppal Gandhi Statue on Saturday evening. 6 autorickshaws were seized. A case was registered under BNS Section 305(b). Senior officials appreciated the investigation team for tracing the vehicles and arresting the accused.
Speeding Businessman Climbed Road Divider Near KBR Park
A 40-year-old businessman was fined after his BMW X4 crashed into a road junction near the main gate of KBR Park in the early hours of Sunday. It was stated that there were no injuries in the incident. Police ruled out drunk driving after administering a breathalyzer test to the driver, Imran Ali, immediately after the accident.
Police said the accident took place when Ali took a U-turn from NTR Bhavan at high speed towards Jubilee Hills check post. As a result of the driver losing control of the steering wheel, the vehicle flew into the roadside barrier. The police arrived at the scene within 10 minutes after the notice.

Kushaiguda Police Arrests Man Under POCSO Act Following Missing of Two Minor Girls
Kushaiguda police have arrested a 24-year-old man under the Pocso Act in connection with a case in which two schoolgirls went missing.
According to the police, the incident came to light when a complainant approached the police station on the night of July 1. The complainant stated that university officials informed them that their daughter, a second-year secondary school student, did not come to classes. Despite searching the immediate area and calling friends, the family could not find him.
Further investigation revealed that another little girl from the same extended family was also missing. At the same time, relatives could not return home from work and their mobile phone was turned off. The family discovered that the relative’s motorcycle was parked behind a college in Kushaiguda. All names are being kept confidential to prevent minors from being identified.
A missing person was initially registered with BNS. Kushaiguda police took action by tracking the suspect’s mobile phone location data. After locating the little girls safely, the police recorded their statements. Based on the statements of the accused who revealed that they were trapped, the police converted the case into Pocso Law, arrested the relative and produced him in court for judicial remand.
Uppal Police Arrest Two Men, Recover Six Stolen Cars worth Rs 4 Lakh
Uppal police arrested two persons for alleged car theft and recovered six stolen vehicles worth around Rs 4 lakh from their possession. Police said the accused, K. Akshay of Secunderabad CTC and Muhammad Faizan Kureshi of Koti Galli, Muntang of Nizamabad district, claimed to have stolen autorickshaws parked from various places in Hyderabad and its outskirts.
According to investigators, Akshay would spot stray vehicles parked on the roadside and inform Faizan. The duo would then steal the vehicles, transport them to different locations, and change their appearance before discarding them. During interrogation, the suspects reportedly confessed to stealing six vehicles.
Based on reliable information, Uppal police caught the accused while he was moving in stolen vehicles in Uppal on Saturday evening. Police seized all six stolen cars.
Saidabad Resident Dies After His Bike Skid and Hit Cement Block on NH-44
A 32-year-old private company employee died on Saturday afternoon when his motorcycle skidded and hit a roadside cement block on NH-44 near Palmakula. Shamshabad police identified the victim as Uaradi Balakrishna, a resident of Lokayuktha Colony in Saidabad.
According to the complaint filed by his younger brother, Balakrishna went to his hometown Gundlapotlapally village in Mahabubnagar district on Saturday to attend a family function. He left the village on his motorcycle around 2 pm on Sunday to return to Saidabad.
The accident took place around 3.30 pm near Dhaba on NH-44, police said. The victim’s brother, who informed his family about the accident around 16:00, found him lying dead on the road when he arrived at the scene.
Charminar ACP’s Wife Dies of Alleged Suicide in Alwal
Charminar ACP Chandrashekar’s wife Hemalatha allegedly died by suicide at their home in Brindavan Colony under Alwal police limits on Sunday. Police said no note was found and the cause of the alleged suicide was being investigated.
ACP Chandrasekhar was in his office and his wife did not respond to repeated phone calls. He asked his son, who lives in the same building, to check on him. When his son arrived home, he knocked on the door repeatedly but received no response, police said. The family broke the door, found Hemalatha’s body and informed the police.
Alwal police reached the spot and conducted preliminary investigation and shifted the body to Gandhi Hospital for post-mortem. The police registered a suspicious death case and launched an investigation.
