NIA arrests 2 men for involvement in minor Bangladeshi girl’s trafficking

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) sought five places in the Calcutta in Western Bengal and Bangaon, and arrested two men on the allegation that they were involved in the smuggling of a little Bangladeshi girl.

The arrested duo – Amir Ali Shekh and Amal Krishna Mondal – come from the North 24 Parganas region in West Bengal.

A NIA statement said that the victim was illegally smuggled into India and was forced to be exploited under the pretext of employment.

He said the search operation on Saturday, September 20, 2025, resulted in a large amount of Indian, Bangladesh and other foreign currencies as well as several accusing documents.
