Nic Nemeth wins TNA World Championship at Slammiversary, defeats Mike Santana

Nic Nemeth took his shot and challenged Mike Santana for the Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) World Championship at Slammiversary on Sunday, and he didn’t miss.

It was a classic main event between two talented wrestlers. Nemeth came into the match looking to unseat Santana, who had been champion for almost a year. During the match, Nemeth also had his brother with him, who helped him play some mind games.

Ryan Nemeth distracted the referee and was ejected almost immediately. There was enough time for Nic Nemeth to knock out Santana with the Call Your Shot Gauntlet trophy. After the slap, Santana was bleeding from her head.

Nemeth hit Santana with a superkick, but Santana countered with a Spin the Block. The needle was in vain. Nemeth then connected with a few superkicks and a Danger Zone but couldn’t keep Santana down.

But Santana would run out of steam. After dodging Nemeth’s final combination, he fell into Nemeth’s arms. Nemeth hit another Danger Zone and pinned Santana for the win.

This is Nemeth’s second TNA World Championship reign. His first title reign began at Slammiversary 2024 with Moose defeating Josh Alexander, Steve Maclin, Frankie Kazarian and Joe Hendry. Two years later, he returned to the top of TNA.

Now Nemeth is at the top of the list as champion. With Lockdown a few weeks away, he’s likely to receive a rematch request from Santana.
