Nicola Roberts announced on Sunday that she secretly welcomed her first child, a daughter, with fiancé Mitch Hahn “a few weeks ago.”
The Girls Aloud singer, 40, confirmed the joyful news on Instagram alongside a series of sweet photos of herself lovingly cradling the baby.
While Nicola, who had to have surgery at 22 weeks to ‘keep the baby in’, was beaming, another photo showed 37-year-old footballer Mitch leaving the hospital with his little girls.
He wrote the following note in his post: ‘Our beautiful daughter is here. We didn’t stop looking at her perfect little face or kissing her softest little head.
‘He was born a few weeks ago at 38 weeks, weighing 6.5lbs, healthy and happy and is thriving. For him, this is heaven and we can’t believe he’s ours.’
Fans and celebrity friends were quick to share their congratulations, with Jess Wright gushing: ‘Congratulations darling.’ Loose Women’s Katie Piper added: ‘We’re so happy for you both.’

Nicola announced her pregnancy on Christmas Day and shared a stunning photo of her baby bump.
Nicola wrote: ‘Mitch and I had such a magical Christmas Day sharing the most precious news with our families.
‘We were keeping a secret. We are five months pregnant! We can’t wait to meet our little one in the spring x’
Nicola and the 37-year-old former footballer got engaged a year ago during a romantic trip to the south of France.
While her famous friends showered her with comments, Rochelle Humes was writing congratulatory messages to the stars.

Last month, Nicola revealed she had surgery 22 weeks into her pregnancy to ‘help keep the baby in’.

She added a loving caption to her post: ‘Our beautiful daughter is here. We didn’t stop looking at her perfect little face or kissing her softest little head.
Girls Aloud singer Nicola, who is currently 34 weeks pregnant, said doctors instructed her to rest during the final trimester as she revealed her previous surgery.
He wrote: ‘Some photos I took this week.. Isn’t it really nice to feel the spring..’
‘I’ve been instructed not to do much since having surgery at 22 weeks to help keep the baby inside. Reaching the 34 week mark was a huge relief.
‘I only have a few weeks left now. We can safely say that this last part is not the easiest, right? It’ll be nice to feel more comfortable again in one breath, but I’m also going to really miss my belly and this little thing in there.’
Nicola previously confirmed she would undergo surgery in January, explaining that it meant she would have to pull out of her final scheduled performances at the West End show.
She played the goddess Persephone in the West End musical Hadestown, staged at the Lyric Theatre.
Last summer, Nicola showed off her huge diamond ring on stage at Brighton Pride after Mitch popped the question.

According to reports, he got down on one knee during a romantic holiday in the south of France in July 2024.

Nicola’s last public relationship was with Charlie Fennell, whom she dated for six years until the end of 2013, claiming the relationship was “over”.
Nicola and the former footballer got engaged a year ago during a romantic trip to the south of France.
Before this, she had a brief relationship with Carl Davies, for whom she was subjected to a campaign of online harassment following the end of their romance.
He avoided prison but took out a restraining order after being found guilty of stalking Nicola. The abuse included threatening to stab and burn her after creating 35 fake social media accounts to send thousands of messages.
He targeted the pop star four years after their relationship broke down. Nicola did not respond to any messages but meticulously copied each message and handed it over to the police.
He was later jailed for two years and eight months after admitting sending death threats to former BBC Breakfast presenter Louise Minchin and threatening to rape her daughter.
