Nigel Farage urged to explain how his partner funded £885k Clacton home

Nigel Farage faces questions about the £ 885,000 election house after deciding to question how the property was paid.

The reform UK leader refused to avoid more than £ 44,000 stamp tax at home with a heated swimming pool in Clacton, and was purchased by his wife.

Mr. Farage said that his partner Laure Ferrari paid for his own funds for the house and that he could do it because he came from a rich French family.

However, a BBC investigation aroused suspicion of the allegation and claimed that his parents did not have a significant contribution to the purchasing process.

If Mr. Farage had given Mrs. Ferrari money to buy the house, it would not have done anything illegal. However, considering that the reform leader criticized Angela Rayner for not paying enough stamp tax when buying an apartment on Hove, he would bring about hypocrisy questions – something he finally resigned.

“I didn’t borrow any money to anyone. I didn’t give him money,” he said. Mirror.

“He comes from a very successful French family and can meet himself. Suitable, it works and loves it there.”

Labor Party President Anna Turley said: “Now there is a question that has not been answered about the house she stayed in now.

“An election zone is terrified to mislead the people for political gain in purchasing. However, if it deliberately fulfills this regulation to avoid paying the tax share that will be even worse.”

And the Liberal Democratic Cabinet Office spokesman Sarah Olney said: “Nigel Farage has serious questions to answer it. After attacking others on tax arrangements, now he needs to be clear and honest about himself.”

Clacton House was purchased last November between questions about how much time Mr. Farage spent in the election zone. Days ago, he told Sky News: “I changed the contracts I will live there at home – Is it good enough?… I bought a house in Clacton. What more do you want me to do?”

Since then, he admitted that it was wrong to say that he had bought the house as his wife owned.

Mr. Farage has been reported to have four property, three of which were in the city and one in Surrey, so if Clacton bought his house, he would pay a higher stamp tax.

The BBC’s investigation aroused suspicion of Ferrari’s fortune and reported that his father had been carrying out a transportation business in Strasbourg, France for years, but the company was liquidated in 2020 and had more existence than obligations at that time.

The apartment where their parents live in the Strasburg suburb is reported to be about £ 300,000.

In the meantime, a consultancy established by Mrs. Ferrari, according to the latest account set, assets have only £ 1,000.

Mr. Farage spokesman said: “Laure Ferrari is the only legal and useful owner of the property.

“It belongs only to Laure and is purchased with its own funds. All taxes were paid appropriately. Nigel has no financial interest with the property.”
