Nikhil Kamath Elon Musk Podcast: World’s richest man makes a big prediction on jobs and AI, says work and money will soon become…

World’s richest man Elon Musk told Nikhil Kamath that work could become optional in the next two decades due to rapid advancement in artificial intelligence and robotics. In a podcast with Nikhil Kamath, the Tesla and SpaceX chief predicted that technology will advance so quickly that jobs may seem more like side activities than a necessity. Musk opened the conversation with a bold timeline, saying: “My prediction is that in less than 20 years, work will become optional, almost like a hobby.” He said breakthroughs in artificial intelligence and robotics will move the world to the point where machines can handle almost everything humans need.

Elaborating on his idea further, Musk added: “I think that will turn out to be true in less than 20 years, maybe even… as little as 10 or 15 years. Advances in artificial intelligence and robotics will bring us to a point where work is optional, just like you can grow your own vegetables in your garden or go to the grocery store and buy vegetables.”
