Scorching heat to grip Tamil Nadu till April 12; humidity likely to worsen discomfort

Many parts of Tamil Nadu are expected to experience scorching heat until April 12. The Regional Meteorological Center (RMC) predicts an increase of two to three degrees Celsius in maximum temperature by Sunday.
With summer heat increasing in the state, the RMC on Thursday issued a heat index advisory, especially for coastal areas. RMC officials stated that the depression prevailing in Tamil Nadu will lead to moisture ingress and lead to increase in humidity. . The combination of humid weather and high temperatures will affect hot weather and discomfort in places like Chennai.
