Lambada, Banjara JAC Urges Telangana Govt To Clarify Stand On ST Status

Nalgonda: On Sunday, Lambadi and Banjara Associations Joint Action Committee (JAC) led the state government to double the status of a planned tribal (ST) status for Lambadi and Banjara communities.
Thousands of Lambadis and Banjaras participated in a gigantic at Attignon (respect) rally held in Kothagudem in Kotradri-Kothagudem region and protested against Koyas’s request to get rid of the ST category. The rally started in the garden of the agricultural market in Lakshmidevapuram, before the end of the sculpture of Ambedkar, passed through the bus stop and the post office center.
In the lamp addressing the meeting, Hakkula Porarata Samithi (LHPS) State President Banavath Shankar Naik recalled that the Status of ST from the bay community was given to Lambadas. Emphasizing the unity between the st’s, Banjaras warned that he would not remain silent in the face of injustice and fight to protect his self -esteem.
