A food company has recalled nine of its products from shelves due to possible “mouse contamination”. Customers have been warned not to eat any of these products as they may be “unsafe”.
MOMA Foods has issued a warning about various porridge pots and sachet products, the Food Standards Agency (FSA) said in an alert published today (22 March). MOMA products are sold in many supermarkets and shops across the UK.
on it websiteThe FSA said: “MOMA Foods is recalling several oat containers and sachet products due to possible mouse contamination at its manufacturing facility.”
It added: “MOMA Foods is recalling the above products. Point-of-sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores and websites that sell these products. These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they purchase the products.”
The full list of affected products is listed below. The codes mentioned here will be printed on the bottom of the porridge containers and the back of the bags.

As part of the risk statement, the FSA said: “These products may contain mouse contamination, which may make them unsafe to eat.” However, other MOMA products are not affected.
Advice to consumers
One security noticeMOM said: “Consumers who purchased the affected MOMA porridge products are asked not to consume them.
“Instead, they must return the items to the store where they were purchased and receive a full refund.”
