Kolkata, West Bengal: Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar says, “The process of SIR revision of around 60 crore voters in 12 states of India and earlier in Bihar is almost complete. The sole aim was that no eligible voter should be left out, but however, no ineligible person should be included in the voter list… There are a total of 7 crore 8 lakh names in the recently announced latest electoral roll of West Bengal and if those under provision are excluded, then 6,44,52,609 voters are listed as eligible voters in the list… I want to inform all the voters that every polling station will be broadcast 100% online and these broadcasts will be closely monitored by the Election Commission staff… To increase the participation of the youth, there will be special assistant registrar of voters in each assembly constituency who will campaign in colleges…”
