No Kings Speaker Mehdi Hasan Takes Brutal Shot At Trump And His ‘Immigrant’ Wives During Rally

Hassan woke up the D.C. crowd on Saturday afternoon by applauding Republicans, then turned his attention to Trump with a series of attacks that put a new spin on an adage about immigrants:

People who can’t go a day without hating. Are late-night comedians, overweight soldiers, Muslim politicians, Mexican immigrants, Palestinian refugees, black women, transgender children, peaceful protestors, and Mr. Fucking Potato Head teaching us hate lessons? Really?
I’m not here because of my love. I’m here because I love this country. I love America. I love the First Amendment. I love our democracy. I love diversity. Yes, our diversity. And I’m not willing to sit back and watch our great American multiracial, multicultural, democratic experiment, our constitutional republic, be destroyed by the guy from Home Alone 2! I won’t!
Because I did not inherit America. I inherited America, I chose America. I was not born here, I immigrated here. And we immigrants love this country more than people born here because we chose to move here, live here, swear by the constitution here. An oath that the man down the street breaks every morning and every night.
The greatest irony, of course, is that Donald Trump is the son of an immigrant, the grandson of an immigrant, and is married to an immigrant. In fact, the fact that two of his three wives are immigrants proves once again that immigrants will do the jobs that even Americans do not want to do!
