Noisy roads raise stroke risk

Living in a noisy street can increase the risk of paralysis.
A long-term Danish work of 40 years and about 27,000 men (65-74 years) found that only 14.9 dB loudly from the silent streets, loudly, 12.4 percent higher than 12.4 percent higher risk of stroke.
Researchers urged those living in noisy areas to close the windows and switch to a quieter bedroom if necessary, because the sound from traffic causes stress and disrupts sleep.
Even if there was a minimum of pollution on the street, health risks were still present.
Dr. Odense University Hospital in Denmark. Stephan Mayntz, “Traffic noise is an important environmental risk factor for stroke and is associated with a higher risk even at low air pollution levels.
“These findings emphasize the need to deal with traffic noise as part of public health interventions to reduce the stroke burden.
“This is not about high loud sounds-the noise that breaks the chronic day that disrupts the appropriate and activates stress paths.
“Urban planning, noise reduction policies and transportation strategies should give priority to reducing the exposure of noise to prevent landing and long -term consequences.”
