Non-bailable warrant issued against former MP Gorantla Madhav

The POCSO Court in Vijayawada on Friday, January 16, 2026, issued a non-bailable warrant (NBW) against former Member of Parliament K. Gorantla Madhav after he missed the hearing.

Acting on a complaint filed by former Mahila Commission Chairman Vasireddy Padma, the Cyber ​​Crime Police registered a case against Mr. Madhav under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act, 2012, on the charge of revealing the victim’s name before the media in a sexual abuse case.

Since the suspect did not attend the hearing on Friday, the court decided not to release him on bail. The case was postponed to January 30.
