while appearing inJamie Kern Lima ShowO’Donnell was asked to comment on changes at CBS since the network and its parent company, Paramount Global, moved under new leadership.
“You know, oh my gosh, I’ve been at CBS for probably almost 14 years and I’ve had a great career,” O’Donnell said. “We’ve had a lot of leadership changes at CBS, whether it’s hosting the morning show at the White House, anchoring the evening news, working for ’60 Minutes,’ and it’s been challenging not only for me but for my colleagues as well. And I think with so much leadership change, people are scared about what the future holds.”

“The reality is that commitment to these people and the stories they have to sell is becoming increasingly impossible,” Hastey said. “Stories may instead be judged not just on their journalistic merit but also on whether they conform to a changing set of ideological expectations, a dynamic that forces producers and reporters to self-censor or avoid compelling narratives that might trigger backlash or negative headlines.”
